Call of Duty – Upcoming Games in 2014

With more than 100 million copies sold, the Call of Duty series is one of the popular video games of the recent times. Initial games of this series until Call of Duty 3 were based in World War 2, but starting with Call of Duty 4, these games were based on modern times. Published as well as owned by Activision, some games are developed by Infinity Ward while other games have been developed by others including Sledgehammer Games, Gray Matter Interactive and Aspyr.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is the latest installment in the Call of Duty Series; the tenth main installment, the first game of the series was released in November 2013. There have been some announcements of Call of Duty: Ghosts games and updates that will be launched in 2014. The list of Call of Duty games upcoming in 2014 include –

• Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC – This is the second round of expansion for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Devastation DLC will be first launched on Xbox One and
Xbox 360 in April 2014, and then to other gaming consoles. The new version consists of multiplayer maps and a new hybrid weapon. These four new
maps are namely – Ruins, Collision, Behemoth and Unearthed. Ripper, the hybrid new weapon, is combined Assault Rifle and SMG that can be used on
any Call of Duty maps. There is also talk that this DLC will introduce of an epic, action movie character in the game and gamers are continuously
guessing who it will be.

• New Title by Sledgehammer Games – Sledgehammer Games are working towards their first Call of Duty game and it is scheduled to be released near the
end of 2014. The specifics of this new Call of Duty title have not been revealed nor have any details been given about characters, maps and
weapons. But, sources reveal that this game will be quite different than earlier Call of Duty games, and the time is being used by developers to
polish the games for best user experience.

Excitement for the upcoming Call of Duty; Ghosts versions is already high and the momentum is building every day. Whether the new games impress gamers or not will be understood in coming times.
